1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to AddressIQ, FieldIQ modules that rely on AddressIQ, and the AddressIQ QuickBooks Online integration operated by GIDE Solutions. It also applies to these public legal pages.
These legal pages do not collect information through forms and do not add tracking beyond normal site analytics or server logs already used by gide.ca.
2. Information AddressIQ May Process
Depending on your configuration and workflow, AddressIQ may process:
- account, workspace, administrator, and authorized-user information, such as name, email, role, and access context;
- AddressIQ and FieldIQ operational data, such as address records, premise data, field submissions, evidence metadata, pay-period records, payroll review data, and export package details;
- QuickBooks Online connection metadata, such as company or realm ID, company name if available, environment, connection status, OAuth scopes, token timestamps, and export mapping references;
- QuickBooks Online references needed for configured workflows, such as employee, vendor, item, class, customer, time activity, or export result references where authorized and applicable;
- technical data, such as API logs, request metadata, security events, diagnostic information, and error details.
3. QuickBooks Online Credentials and Tokens
The AddressIQ QuickBooks Online integration uses Intuit authorization flows. GIDE stores QBO client secrets and refresh tokens server-side in secrets storage. They are not stored in browser code, public source, public files, or client-side local storage.
AddressIQ may store secret references, fingerprints, connection state, realm ID, scopes, status, and token timing metadata so the integration can validate, troubleshoot, and operate the connection without exposing the secret values to the browser.
4. How Information Is Used
GIDE uses AddressIQ and QuickBooks Online information to:
- operate AddressIQ, FieldIQ, and related customer workflows;
- connect, validate, disconnect, and monitor the QuickBooks Online integration;
- prepare payroll or accounting export packages and export-readiness summaries;
- support mapping, troubleshooting, support requests, error handling, and auditability;
- secure the service, detect misuse, maintain logs, and comply with legal, contractual, and operational obligations;
- communicate with customer administrators about support, configuration, security, and service changes.
5. What AddressIQ Does Not Do
AddressIQ does not sell QuickBooks Online data, use it for third-party advertising, process payments, move money, provide lending or insurance services, manage investments, or provide investment advice. The current production implementation prepares payroll/accounting export packages and readiness information; direct posting to QuickBooks Online is disabled unless separately approved, enabled, and configured.
6. Sharing and Service Providers
GIDE may share information with service providers that help host, secure, operate, support, or monitor AddressIQ. GIDE may also exchange data with Intuit and QuickBooks Online as authorized by the connected QuickBooks Online administrator and required for the configured integration.
GIDE may disclose information when required to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect the service, or respond to lawful requests.
7. Admin Controls and Choices
Authorized users can connect or disconnect QuickBooks Online in AddressIQ where that control is available. Administrators can also revoke AddressIQ access from within QuickBooks Online or the Intuit account settings.
Customers can request support, deletion, or access assistance by contacting GIDE. Some records may need to be retained for security, backup, audit, contractual, payroll/accounting, or legal compliance purposes.
8. Security and Retention
GIDE uses administrative, technical, and operational safeguards designed to protect AddressIQ information. Access to sensitive configuration and payroll/accounting integration controls is limited to authorized users and server-side systems.
GIDE keeps information for as long as needed to provide AddressIQ, support customer workflows, maintain security and audit records, meet contractual commitments, and comply with applicable obligations. Retention periods may vary by customer agreement, data type, and operational need.
9. International Processing
AddressIQ may process information in Canada, the United States, or other locations where GIDE or its service providers operate, depending on the configured hosting, support, and integration services.
10. Changes to This Policy
GIDE may update this policy as AddressIQ, the QuickBooks Online integration, or legal and operational requirements change. The updated date above shows when this page was last changed.
